New apartment, new Dunks, same order

So I used to work at Dunkin Donuts years ago but I just got a new job and I moved into a new place. I used to love meeting the regulars and knowing their orders so when they came in I could know exactly what to make.

Anyway my usual order is a large iced coffee regular with a side of hashbrowns (who can resist them?). I used to be able to walk in and get it quick, but the new Dunks on my block didn’t know my order.. Until TODAY when I went in and they asked if I wanted the usual. I know it’s probably dumb but it made me feel like I’ve finally settled into my new home, y’know?

Any of you guys have this experience?

Hi Frank! I think that is totally natural to want to feel at home at a place you enjoy. Having worked at Dunkin Donuts before, now you totally understand the value of having your order remembered! When I was a waitress I would always do my best to remember my usual's drink orders so I had the drinks waiting for them when they came in for their reservation. Now many years later I love when places know my "usual" because it makes me feel special and appreciated as a customer!

That's not dumb - that is awesome! Now it sounds like you've truly settled in to your new place. Congratulations on the new job by the way, that's always so great to hear about success in the community.

I used to have a sandwich shop in my area that knew what I wanted when I came in, so I can relate! Thanks for remembering your customers and making them feel at home.
