Mistreated/punished for one thing......
I am a LVN, I was placed in the library and not allowed to do any nursing/any patient care. The head nurse told dept. of nursing basically I was mistreating my patients. Several patients wrote letters and one actually went to the hearing on my behalf stating I have never mistreated any patients. On the contrary I spoil all of them. So then it was switched to I didn't follow protocol. For a supervisor not to have to prove what she is stating an employee did is unfair. I say this because she has nothing. Yet I prove it wasn't true & the higher ups have a right to switch the reason is unfair. I had been running the clinic assigned to me the same for over 4 years. But I guess when a head nurse doesn't like you, her personal feelings can give her the opportunity to defame an employee without proof to her allegations. Most of the employees since have transferred to another area/quit. Why isn't dept. of nursing checking out why they are leaving....then they would know the truth about her. Then would have to admit they were wrong. She was removed from another area due to some complications, if there is history why aren't they checking for truth & facts.
Doesn't sound like there's much more you can do to address that situation of the leadership team is siding with the head nurse. You just might have to compromise or find another job.
