She provided for us kids
When I was a kid, my grandmother worked at the Coca-Cola bottling plant in Cincinnati, Ohio. She would always come home and bring us kids Cokes. We would pop the tops off and chug them. She would tell us not to, but we couldn't help ourselves. Kids will be kids, right? Then years and years later I worked there too and stayed for a while just not as long as her. Funny to think of my grandmother working there, but she did it amazingly well. She took care of me and my little brother growing up with that job.

what a sweet memory and was able to provide for y'all as well!

It sounds like strong, independent and blessed come from your family. Thank you for allowing me to share in your memories.

Everybody cherish your loved ones. Nothing last forever.I am the baby of 5 boys. I've had the JOB of watching everyone die. I miss everybody. Just say thank you god for the opportunity to love ,and say good bye...

My grandmother was a college professor. She taught us math including geometry. She taught me how to play chess and be a good sport. She was amazing! She also used to make punch with 7 up and Tang.

How did you like working there?

It's nice you have that memory of her. i lost one, my grandmothers when I was a baby.

I loved coke as a kid too. God as an adult I think of all the sugar we drank in those things, but it was totally worth it.

Grandmothers are very special people. Sounds like she was a good influence on you and your bro.
I am the baby out of 6 kids. My Dad was a traveling salesman so my mom was a stay at home mom. When I was 13 she went back to work after 20yrs being away from the working world. She recently retired and worked at the same place for 35yrs. I only wish I had half the dedicated work ethic as my Mom. As a Grandma she is still trucking.
