You are NOT too good for this!
I worked at Taco Bell when I was 17 and all I could think at first was, I am too good for this and that fast food is not a real job. I know a lot of us feel this way about certain professions and things that we do. Then I realized I was wrong. It's so important to be willing to learn anything and recognize that there is no task that you are “too good” to do. One of my first shift managers shared this with me after explaining that he lost several jobs in the past simply because he thought he was above cleaning the bathrooms or sweeping the floors. He told me that his actions left him unable to pay his bills and eventually he nearly became homeless because of it. It opened up my eyes. I stayed at that Taco Bell for over a year and it taught me a lot. I try to just be grateful for whatever comes my way. A job is a job, and if you are lucky enough to have one make sure to appreciate the things it gives you.

You're right cause when you're on the receiving end of No aJob its not a good feeling

Amen to that!!! This is exactly why most people get stuck in low paying jobs and never get promoted, because the attitude that "This is not my job or this is not on my job description or they don't pay me enough to do this!" They just muddle through their day watching the clock and only doing just enough until they get off. Going above and beyond your duty is having great work ethics and it leads to promotions, You never know who is watching you, so always do your best even when nobody is watching!

Yes you are so right! James

I have been in the hospitality field my whole life 20 plus yrs an just recently figured out that u don't trust anyone that u work with they will stab u in the back in a minute to get they little moment to be recognize! At work for calling you out. on whatever is going to make them look better.!!! It's real sad!!!

Yeah, u r right

Moral of success never ask someone else to do a task that you are prepared to do yourself

To most people a job is just a paycheck,To others a job is a career. I started young with my job too but it was in management at Hechts. I don't think above anything but the life God chose me to lead and it's gives me strength and belief that anything I put my mind to I can do. That comes with educating myself, not giving up on me when others do. I had been filling out apps in my profession for a year everyday. Even with the unemployment commission. I hadn't heard from anybody for a year, out of work. Suddenly I got interviews. Turned some down due to wage. I have experience not being taken for granted. The right job came along just started, but ready to give it up because of their floor. My feet hurt and it's not worth my pain. So I appreciate but we'll see how long that last.

When my husband and I was much younger, I felt embarrassed to say he worked at Burger King. He figured out I was a bit ashamed of where he was working. He asked me did I feel ashamed to use his money to pay the bills? I grew up that day.

That is very commendable, that show that you are a team player and also that you can take orders, that is , from a supervisor.
So true, I am forever grateful. I started out in food service. And I once needed a PT job. Guess what, I turned to Dietary. Paid off my car and moved on from there. Learning at every job. No regrets.
