What should I do?
I have been working at the same jib for 3 yrs now. I only received a raise once. Plus, I work 2 days a week. I don't want to go back driving a school bus yet. I am in a lower paying job which I am starting not to like, I go above and beyond my duties and help everyone. I drive for a assisted living community. I am not happy with this job, what I make in two weeks I used to make in one day driving a school bus. What should I do?

You need to listen to you heart do what makes you happy. I f you find a job you love you will never work a day.

You spelt jib wrong!

Have you considered getting a commercial license so you can move up in the driving world?

There are city bus jobs which means your employed by the government with great benefits, there are bus companies like greyhound, etc. There are also bus jobs for companies like Amtrak to get people to the trains and make final delivery drop off of passengers where their trains do not go. There are a lot of options out there. Its just up to you decide which one is right for you.

Leave that job and go work at a restaurant that gets lots of customers !

Winfred. You should look for a position where you earn enough money to pay bills and have fun. Life is too short for too much stress. From Susan van nuys ca

Winifred, Follow your heart. If this current job is not making you money drive a school bus if that is what you really want.? Life is too short to work in a job that you disllike.. It could make you much more unhappy and with a school bus driver you have more days off with more pay. Keep the temp job for a backup if you need on or be a reserve on call driver if your current job may need one. Keep your options but follow your heart. You know what you want to do. Good luck, Lisa Renwick.

Hi Winifred: If you work only 2 days a week, you have lot of time to look for other opportunities. Since you said like driving, consider upgrade your licence to drive transit bus or a delivery bus that is not very physical. Many construction companies also hire drivers to delivery construction materials to job sites, as well, many garden centres also employ driver to delivery plants and trees to customers. Drivers have many possibilities if they have the right licence and clean abstract

Hi Winifred. I am also in the same position as you so I went out and found another job that pays better and will hopefully have better hours so I can have a life again. There is never a reason to stay in a job you're either unhappy with or unappreciated. The hardest part for me was taking that first step to move on. Mike
Look at attorneys or car dealerships. When the dealers sell the cars, a runner takes all the title requests together to the courthouse on the same day, usually one or 2 days a week. Same with attorneys. They have a runner take papers to courthouse 1 or 2 days a week. Also, look for a driver job with non emergency medical transportation. The pay is great, and usually you pick which jobs you drive for the week. Hope this helps. Keep looking forward. Best wishes!
