I am a 16 year old lookin for a job at hilton....I love workin and putting smiles on peoples faces...I Clean and, well you can say ill do whatever work you throw at me ...My dad has trouble paying the bills and my mom passed away when i was seven years old ,So i really need this job .....i am currently in High School going to the 10th grade..

Hi Olson: Thanks for posting to Jobcase, and sorry to hear about what you're going through right now. Unfortunately, the HIlton has a minimum hiring age of 18, BUT a lot of other employers hire 16 year olds. I say focus on applying for jobs at fast food locations, movie theaters, and grocery stores - most of these employers start hiring at 14. Hope this helps, and keep your chin up!
I really never recommend people your age getting a job during school season but if you feel you can handle it, I am going to suggest Chick-fil-a. They are closed on Sunday's and it would give you a chance to do homework and spend time with your family/friends. I only recommend you working Friday nights and Saturday morning .
Note: I personally feel you should let your dad figure things out and you should focus on school.You need to have a conversation with your dad. Getting a job could put more stress on him. He would have to take you and pick you up. Like most parents, I am sure he would like you to focus on school. Talk to dad!
