Experienced worker looking for P/T work?

I have been to several places and no-one seems to want to talk to you? The response is that all hiring is done on line? How do they expect to hire the right person? Spent several hours filling out applications and the Assessment question portion and haven"t heard a response from anyone? Could it be that they figured out my age and wouldn"t take my app into consideration------hmmmmm?

I don't like this whole online thing - it seems to be in response to our failing economy - so many looking for work, they would have to hire two people to take care of all the inquiries every day. I suppose this is their way to not use up man hours processing all the applicants.

On your apps. don't include all the jobs you have ever held in your life, just the ones that are pertinent to the job you are applying for. By doing so they really can't tell how old you are. It is against the law to ask an applicant their age and if they do you have every right to report them to the labor department.

You are just figuring that out? Ageism rules. Go sharpen up your skills with an online software course.

I feel like that is my problem also,Thomas. Also the place I worked prior did not use the EMR system. So,when I try to get a job in the medical assistant field that's a question they ask. When I say no we use just paper files, they say okay good luck! What gives?!
