I'm unsure of my next job.

It has been confirmed by the EEOC that I was wrongfully terminated. I was fired from a company that I worked for during my college career and later returned to them after working in a capacity of my degree. I might add I worked in three different cities for this company. My total years working iAds up to 17 yrs. losing some of them due to the time lapse. The EEOC found the company guilty of racial and religion discrimination. I never received during my entire career complaints from any of my clients. I was in the top 25 most of the time the top 10 in sales. When I was terminated I was # 3 in sales. I won't bore you with all the events that occurred but none of them were legitimate . They were efforts used to create a path to my termination. This is result in envy and jealousy from the executive team. Who would think in a thousand years this was feasible. I was warned by a former manager as well as clients by what was happening. I have 3 yrs. of documentation I started when I received these warnings. On the day of my termination I asked the reason I could be terminated none could be given. My final request was to review my HR file to make sense of all of this. During that process with the HR Mgr she got frustrated and even admitted some of the circumstances mention was old and even existed before she was hired. Still they terminated me over the phone later that evening. The EEOC sent a mediation invitation to my former employer they refused and described me as a nuisance . I have exhausted all my retirement funds. They also refused me 12k in unemployment. I fought that through 7 appeals and 2 commission reviews. Unsuccessful. Needless to say IRS has been in contact due the taxes and penalties I received from realty withdrawals. That amount totals over 15k. Y'all it's real RACISM does exist at a level compared to the 1950's. Now I'm trying to save what I have worked so hard for to accomplish. Those accomplishments were successful due to following the steps one should to prepare for success. Yet I'm a victim of ignorance. I'm over 50 Im good at my passion which is serving others. Customer Service comes in many forms. It pleases me to satisfy others. I'm shying away from Retail Commission positions due to my experience. I have to work due to my financial status. I'm exploring self employment in regard to my passion. My biggest problem is insurance.

Hi Bruce, I'm so sorry to hear this story... it sounds to me like the employer didn't deserve your loyalty, hard work, and success. After all, if you're successful, you're making the company successful, so what gives?! In any event - good for you for fighting the termination through the EEOC. That takes a ton of time & energy and I hope you're proud of making it through with your dignity intact. Now it's time to move on. Sorry to be so blunt, but you've got to rally all your confidence, great attitude , and diligence, and put a good face on this story... and sell yourself into your next role. Attack your job search with the same plan you used to get clients & customers... figure out where you want to end up (which employer), what the employer's pain points are, and present yourself as the ideal solution (along with examples, of course).
As you go through this journey, please come back to this community and let us know how you're doing. We're here for you. Plus, if you're going through this, so are a thousand others, and it's very helpful to everyone if you share what you're learning.
Good luck, Bruce. YOU CAN DO THIS! Marijoy

Sounds like a lengthy process Bruce. I applaud your determination seeking justice around an unfair employment decision by that company.

Glad the EEOC sided with you! What kind of self-employment work are you interested in? You should check out sites like Guru.com and Upwork.com. A lot of companies also hire remotely for sales, so look into that as an option (american express, apple, etc).
