I would take the job for now... root down with it for a little while if you can handle your expenses with it, and still be looking. When the right interview comes along, you can say tah-tah and bridge over to a better paying gig. The fact is that if they are not going to pay you higher, the employer should expect a heavy turn-over (which it is silly 'cause short term/long term is more expensive on the overhead).

I would take the 8.00 per hour if you are currently unemployed, It is better than 0.00 p/h.

Take what you can get until you can get what you want.

Unless you don't need the money, then hold out for wheat you want.
