How do I ask for more money than my job offering?
I just got a raise and I want more money

You might need to ask for more money if:
You have worked at the company for a long time (at least a year) You have accepted more tasks and responsibilities Your performance has exceeded expectations The cost of living, from healthcare to housing, in the area has increased Other companies have identified your talent and are trying to recruit you In these scenarios, your value to the company might exceed what you are currently earning. Asking for more money to justify your contributions and keep you as an employee can be a reasonable next step.

I found this articles called "How to ask for a raise — 7 expert tips to get it" here on the Career Advice section. Take a look! Hope this helps.

Congratulations on the raise, @Jeune Gerardeline! Here are some helpful tips on how to negotiate for more money and while this is about negotiating a better job offer, I think there are key skills we can all use when learning about how to advocate for ourselves. Best of luck!

Compare wages for same/similar roles in your area (can search on sites such as GlassDoor) to see if other companies are offering more. You can show your manager those wages and point to the similarities in the job description.
If you recently received a raise, it usually means you have been doing current job exceptionally well and will help your case in asking for more than your last raise.
Congrats on the raise and good luck!

@Jeune Gerardeline Congratulations on getting a raise already! That is a great sign that you're on the right track. The advice you've gotten on this thread is incredible, and those resources will help a lot! I would consider spending the next few months amping up your contributions and finding out if there is a promotion you could receive this year that would give you another raise. By preparing ahead of time and reading a few of these articles, you'll be ready to negotiate the next time you get a chance! Thanks so much for sharing, keep letting this Community know how we can support you! 💓

Congrats on your raise :) The only way I know people who got a raise back-to-back is if they got promoted into another position. Or If they took on more responsibilities. Very helpful answers in the comments. I like what @Cooper Rewa suggested.

That's awesome news and so glad you're not settling for less! I love Cooper's suggestion and you can def. do more research on the market rate. You can also just ask in general what is the budget of your department and whether there's room for growth. Good luck!
