Hopefully this is it, but trying not to get my hopes up...
Hi i'm a Certified Medical Assistant that has been actively looking for a job. I've been on 4 unsuccessful interviews , and was pretty down on myself. Things might be looking up though because I had my first iinterview with this place I'd love to work for last month, and was called back in for a second interview a few days ago. The interview went great, met the physician/surgeon, and staff. I Was told to come back next Thursday to shadow. I Sent a thank you letter to which the office manager promptly replied "can't wait for next Thursday too". My question is , is it common to get the job after you've been invited to shadow? Or should I not get my hopes up again?

Did u try a medical staffing agency?

Congrats on making it to the next round Katie. Every interview process is different so it’s hard to predict the that employers intentions on hiring you based solely on the invitation to shadow. I suggest you approach it with the same enthusiasm, excitement, and preparation you demonstrated on the first interview. Show up on time, take notes, and ask good questions then ask about next steps before you leave if a job offer isn’t extended immediately after shadowing. I think you’re going to be GREAT but I’ll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you as a backup :-)
That is a good sign. They wouldn't waste their staffs time if they didn't see something in you. Be punctual, sweet, outgoing, show Your knowledge and skills, ask questions and don't be afraid to help if they will allow you to. Good luck!
