Paycheck deduction?

How much can the union take out of my paycheck if I owe arrears in dues. For example if I owe $200, can they take that all at once? I can’t get a straight answer out of my warehouse manager and the union isn’t returning my calls. I just want to have an idea so I can plan out my finances this month. Thanks for your help!

The PBA makes you elect how to take it out. Then they draw it out of your check. You have to elect which one and you can change this. Contact your union rep.

I worked for a union for 12 years. They can take it all at once if they want. The union I worked for, on occasion, would compromise and devide the amount owed in 3 or 4 payments. I guess depends on who u are and what kind of relationship u have with ur union. Different for everyone it seems. But the company has no say in how the union gets what someone owes.

Check in with the union on this Jamie. They should provide you with previous notice before deducting anything over regular dues but give you a re-payment plan option for other payroll deductions. Keep calling the union office or reach out to your repr.
