Hi, I was reading about the PUA no one is getting PUA anymore it ended july 25 or 26 depending on the state you live in and the government can't make up their minds on how much they want to lower it to we won't be getting that amount anymore because they feel it's too much to give out during the pandemic. Terrible world we live in these days.
If your still having proemz then i would contact your districts senator and go to their website and ask for EDD assistance and provide your contact info and they shod get back to you by the next day.. and you will have your mom Ney in one week.. lmk..
Just FYI. I applied in CA in mid-April, no benefit arrived, could get no response. Keep trying is my advice and make a ‘paper trail’ thru the ‘Ask a question’ & ‘Messages’ feature on the EDD site. You can send 2 per day. Include all your info/address/DOB/numbers etc. I Say this because I finally received an email after more than 4 months saying I may be eligible for PUI/backdated and that I should reapply. This time I am sending a hard copy application & cover/explanation letter tracked by Priority mail. I think this only happened because I sent so many messages asking why I hadn’t heard, citing the form emails I had received and pasted back into my messages to them. So I think you could keep at it because it is definitely able to be backdated, & if you have that paper trail you can show the evidence of your due diligence good faith efforts to resolve things, even well beyond normalization.
What if you never received your PUA or your UI then what? Since you are unable to talk to a live person?
Ive been trying to get my PUA unployment from march. No one will respond..senators governor DOL... Help
Nobody should have gotten $600 a week, nobody. Whatever the regular unemployment for a person is what people should have gotten. I am retired, you were receiving more per month than people who paid for decades. Fair, oh yeah it was never fair.
Hi Treva just wanted you to know that the original federal unemployment relief did come to an end the last week of July but the President did sign an executive order about 2 weeks ago for $400 ( the original was $ 600) extra over your state unemployment to fill the cap until Congress can come to a decision and stop the partisan fighting unfortunately the Democratic's do not understand the word comprise it seems to be all or nothing with them which is actually hurting the people they say they are trying to help. Many states have applied for that and several are already giving it out. You need to get in touch with your state unemployment office and make sure your Governor and your state unemployment agency have applied for this program $ 300 comes from federal and the state then has a fund to add $100 some states are some are not so you will either get $300 or $400 depending on your state and your Governor. The only exception is any one who is receiving less than $100 dollars in normal state unemployment will not be eligible because obviously they were only working a very few hours a week prior to covid. I hope this helps you I know about 5 or 6 states are already receiving the benefits and many more have applied so please if you need it make sure you get in touch with your state unemployment office. Unfortunately the $ 600 extra in some places was actually causing issues because people who were offered their permanent jobs back were not taking them since many were making more on the unemployment than actually working and so that is why they wanted a reduction to get people back into their jobs. People need to stop being so damn emotional and getting all offended this easily. Remember we cannot really detect tone from texts, emails, etc, the person from FL was not being rude.
