Racial matter? Maybe , maybe not

I had an interview with a Mazda dealership for a front desk position. I was clearly qualified for the job and when I was called for an interview they had notified me to bring two forms of I.d to sign forms in the event I was hired. I got there and a receptionist interviewed me ( someone I later found out was not qualified to conduct interviews) well after the interview which seemed to have gone great as we talked about personal likes and our love for nail colors ect. She walked me out and I didn't hear from her or anyone for 2 days. When I called to check on the status . The same women informed me the position had already been filled. That night , continuing my job search I came across another new ad for the same position saying " still in need of front desk associate" I found it to be strange and called back and spoke to the person who actually turned out to be the hiring manager and she didn't have any answers for me. Didn't know who I was and said she couldn't help me. What do I do?

Schedule another interview with the hiring manager, and after the interview let him or her know what happen the last time you interviewed there.

I would call corporate first. If they were of no help, didn't get back with you in a timely manner or gave you the run around ; I would go to the dealerships hiring manager and do as Keith Skeel stated. If it's happened to you, it will most likely happen to someone else if it hasn't already. Also, I feel like the associate the "interviewed" you may have been intimidated by you so make sure you say hello to her when you go :)

The problem I see is you have no proof, documented proof. I understand, and believe you that it happened, but how do you prove it legally? I would explain to the dealership owner or manager what happened, and that you don't appreciate this. Make sure they understand you will tell all your friends what happened, and tell the owner to have a good day, and smile. Good Luck...
