45-62? Having trouble landing a job? Sound off.
Yep, the more I talk to people between the ages of 45 and 62, the more I realize if you have been laid off you are screwed, pardon my french. The real ass kicker for me came this week when I found out a major corporation hired a 2018 college grad with virtually no experience over me with my 30 years in our business. Not sure what to do but I refuse to drive for uber and lyft at this stage of the game. Are you in the above mentioned age group and having trouble? I know at least 10 people in our boat. Curious who else is out there.

I am not in that age bracket however I have spent the last two years on Jobcase helping those that are Derik Lattig ! So why do you think being laid off is worse than say being fired or quitting? I think being laid off is not necessarily a bad thing. You just need to update that resume and keep applying. What type of work are you seeking? Also I have a Master's degree and when people right out of college were landing jobs that I wanted I felt the same way. Why them and why not me? Don't go there! Don't compare yourself to anyone else. Focus on the positive and on yourself. You will get there!
