Help! Can I still work for them?

I don't have any warehouse experience, do you think a company like Wayfair would still consider me? I heard they might be hiring in my area. I have only had cashier jobs. HELP!

I say if it sparks an interest, go for it. The worst case scenario, they dont call you in or even say no. At least you tried. Stress your willingness to learn and adapt. Best of luck. You can do it!!

Go for it! It's hard work, but it can be learned quickly.

Hi Evelyn....sure if I were you I woukd submit my resume and, maybe in a cover letter, be honest about your skills and what you are physically capable of doing (and just as importantly, what you feel you are not capable of doing). Who knows, you might work out in the warehouse, and if not, they may need a cashier in the near future. It never hurts to apply. I will keep my fingers crossed and will be thinking of you when I get my next Wayfair delivery!!

I don't see why not. As long as you're willing to lift heavy boxes and work hard they shouldn't have a problem hiring you.

When they ask you, "do you have any experience?" Whatever you do, don't say "no." Before crafting your resume, and before an interview, review each one of the duties in the job description.Think of any shred of experience you might have doing those things. Have you moved or helped someone move? Have you ever organized the back room of the places where you did cashiering? Have you done warehouse type activities as a volunteer? Try to think of anything you have done in the past that relates to the job, and practice speaking it. Don't mention it was just a day or a few hours of experience. The interviewer, or resume reviewer, will be impressed.

Having a positive, can do attitude and a great work ethic will open many doors. With the market flooded with millenials with no work ethics and a sense of entitlement..you will have no problem.
