Don't know what to do
I had to resign due to not passing the FL Teacher General Knowledge Exam. I took the exam twice, studied but still could not pass it. Since October, put in application after application. I had one interview in September and I have another Monday coming. My word out of all the applications I put in, no one noticed? I have bills and trying to get a job. All these degrees. Don't know what to do. This is depressing.
MAYBE EMPLOYERS THINK YOU'RE OVER QUALIFIED. I WOULDN'T WORRY TO MUCH ABOUT THAT, THERE ARE JOBS OUT THERE MAYBE YOU COULD APPLY FOR TEMPORARILY UNTIL DECIDING WHAT ELSE MAYBE YOU'D LIKE TO DO. TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT AGENCIES MAYBE COULD MATCH YOU UP WITH A FULL TIME POSITION, OR UNDERSTAND YOUR PLIGHT WITH DEGREES AND NO RESPONSES.
I would try substituting. This offers you an opportunity to observe other teachers and continue to study without the pressure of evaluations and meeting test standards. You are most likely making the same mistakes and you need to pinpoint where they are. What is your area of qualification?
I can so relate too. I have 3 of them in nursing, the arts and computer graphics. No one has ever called for any of them. I ended up in culinary to put food on the table, but now .. i'm having to start all over again with a huge pay cut. Its not right, its like im starving anymore and being made to suffer for some odd reason. It is depressing, i have been waiting on going back to work for ever now. And now this set back again. I can never understand the deal with so many set backs anymore. Its like the accomplishments dont mean zilch.
I feel your pain, it's very depressing. I thought IT was the way to go but no luck. I decided to switch gears and pursue Psychology for my Bachelors. Be strong and stay encouraged.
