Employer sends me out of town regularly...
The company I work for stated only 30% travel, yet every week I travel out of town. Leave either early Monday or Sunday, 7 hour drive out of state. And on Friday, boss makes us work a full 8, then drive seven hours home. We're paid per diem except on travel days. Besides a shitty situation, does anything raise red flags?

No per diem on Fridays is the least of the issues. With a traveling job of this magnitude, you will not be able to maintain your personal life, especially if you have a wife and kids. Believe me: travel is difficult to impossible on relationships. Find another job - most underestimate travel. It may be a feast or famine sort of estimate - months away, etc. Since it is based on a year: you would be looking at 4 months (120 days away.) My only suggestion - if it suits you - would be to rent a room where you are going and spend some weekends there: cheaper than hotel and make boss pay up for those days.
