Start now or wait?
I have a job offer pending with a construction company my buddy set me up with but I’m not sure if that’s something that I want to do. I’ve been job hunting for something more compatible to my teaching career goals for a while now with no good leads. Heading into the summer the job market in my industry is drying up. I had to move back home when I lost my last job so I’m financially able to stay out of work a little longer but the daily job search monotony is draining me mentally. Is it worth holding out for a better job offer in my industry or should I take this construction job now and try to make the most out of the opportunity? My friend went out of his way to get me that job offer so I don’t want to take it and end up quitting in a month or two for another job.

Take the construction job until something in teaching comes along. You still have to pay bills. If a teacher, specialize in math or Science those are most needed and Special ed which requires a Masters degree. Money is money. Better employed than not employed. Think about it. Good luck

What are the job offer?
Hi Ben you want a guick fix are you want a long term fix? Well I am going to give you a little bit of both, One bird in the hand is better than two or three in the tree. you know for sure, you have this job that your friend offer, but the other job isn't promised to you, nor is tomorrow promised, to any of us. So many of us including myself have a tendency to always put off until tomorrow what we need to contracting on today, which is the here and now. Hope this makes your decision a little easier.
