Dealbreaker
So I'm returning to my previous job and I asked if I could have my 3 weeks vacation again. The HR person then asked me if that was a dealbreaker. That kinda threw me off, so I just said no. Of course, they turned down the request. What's the best way to answer that question without giving a yes/no?

Just be diplomatic. If they're offering less vacation than what you currently have, ask if they would be willing to match that.

That's a tough question Jill. I would probably say that it is something you will consider when making your decision.

I would suggest trying to have justification when making requests like that.
