Executive Manager looking for new opportunity

It's hard

Executive, Operations and was laid off last March. I was employed with my last company for 22 years before they eliminated my position. It's hard out here. I have nothing but respect for everyone going through this struggle. I actually had a company ask me (third interview) to create a 15 minute presentation on what I believed they needed to work on. I did this, and they even said I nailed it and yet they went with an internal candidate. I have a great resume, it means little. My background and any drug test, clean and yet again, it doesn't matter. I wish you all the best and I hope we can really make some strides 2019.

Keep looking and stay positive! You have the skills and talent. You can visit virtual vocations for at home contract work. You can be a virtual assistant. Good luck! Be encouraged!

Opinion Pollist at Self Gary Richardson For Governor

Kimberly,

I too have been struggling with employment. I have a great resume and cover letter and I just got done with two interviews today for a hospital. The job I know I am overqualified for each job I attend, however they make it sound as if I have the job. I am not giving up though and the point is you should not either. Somewhere out there, there is an employer that will recognize your skill set and you will get a job. I have had 4 interviews this month alone and still nothing. Many times they have to go through the interviews of candidates before they can hire internally. Just make certain that your resume is updated and you have a killer resume. Also, make certain your resume matches the job. If you need help updating your resume click on the JobCase profile and they can help you with that. Don't be afraid to reach out and follow some of the more experienced recruiters on this website. I know that they would love to help you. Hope I was able to help God Bless TYJ

Executive Manager looking for new opportunity

So I wanted to update- First...was the presentation one I told you about Next was the two they decided to hold off on after I interviewed twice. Lastly, I am going to hire you. I am creating a position. Call you Thurs..ni call Conclusion, I accepted a position very recently. Not the one I wanted but there are positions in the company that I do want. And lastly, I still had a 2nd interview for something today. This job search thing is b.s. lol it's more the systems and loops you go thru and finally the people doing it that apparently do not know if they are even hiring.

I just went through similar just recently. After being told I had aced my second interview, I received an email three days later saying they did away with the third position, mine. I keep treading water...I'm still a pretty good swimmer!

Commercial Collections Specialist at Atos It Solutions

I'm right there with you. I was laid off in January of 2018 after 18 yrs with the same company when they went out of business. I had no idea I would still be unemployed heading into March of 2019 but here I am. There ARE jobs out there but the herd thins out considerably depending on what level you're at, especially if it's management. I've been in the Collections industry for over 30 yrs and although there's plenty of collections positions available, at my level of expertise, well that's a different. I've been trying to find a position as a Credit Analyst and although I've managed a credit department in the past, it's being held against me since the last time I performed a role determining credit worthiness was over 19 yrs ago. Hang in there, all is neither lost and those in our position will sooner or later come across an employer who thinks outside of the proverbial hiring process box.
