I need advice?
I want to quit my job at CVS and find something closer to my house. What’s the best way to quit so that my manager gives me a good referral to future employers? I don’t want to make a mistake that could cost me my future!

First you have too give a 2 weeks notice. Explain to him that it is to far of a drive, he will understand and give u a good refrence. If you just quit he definatlly wont.

Leave on good terms and always make sure that you have something before you leave. Jobs are not easy to come by these days. Even with the powerful resume I have, I have been unemployed for over a year. So be very careful and make sure you already have something lined up.

Well u probly need to find a job first befiore you q quite then go talk to your job let them know give ur Two weeks

Hello Deborah, just explain due to logistical reasons it is not working out for you and give your boss enough time to find someone else so you do not leave him high and dry. When someone calls your references these days, all they are supposed to ask is if the person worked there and for the dates, nothing personal is supposed to be divulged.

I agree with Mariah. Also, be honest with your manager and ask if there's a CVS store closer to you that might have an opening and ask for a reference.

i would sit down with the supervisor and give notice and tell them that you are wanting to move to a job closer to her home and that i have learned a great deal from them and appreciate all they have done for me. and that i hope they would still be willing to let me use them as a career reference in my future dealings and job. and express my thanks to them in everything they have contributed to me and my family but that i want to leave on a good note

Never quit a job if you don't have another one lined up. Always give two weeks notice, you might want to return one day.

Find something better n closer to your home first then put ur 2 weeks notice in but don't quit you u know u got another job ....Jobs are hard to come by and i l I promise that you will get a great referral from your boss sorry that it took so long to reply back God bless you and have a blessed day hope all is well with your new job

Give a two weeks notice it's very professional
