Advice

About few months ago I posted about a company and what the HR response was. The HR said they definitely wanted me but waiting for official signatures. I did follow up and the HR said that they are in a busy time but will definitely keep me posted about the position. I haven't hear back from the HR and it has been almost 2 months. I assume I don't have the position because it has been almost 2 month and I am not sure if official signatures takes long. I don't know if I should follow up or not. Any advice.

I do the hiring in the company i work for and i would tell you that we cant proceed with interviews without apporvals... nonsense! However we would not keep someone in the limbo like that holding you back from other opportunities. My advice call and be upfront, i was told i was being considered for the position and i have been offered another opportunity but i really want to join the company and dont want miss out on this opportunity due to comunication. Done!

Keep calling until you have a position. When I was hiring and had a situation just like this, so let me tell you the 2 things that are happening. She likes you over all, but someone else didn't. So she thinks if you keep hoping and calling that she will be able to give you a position. The other is she likes you too much to tell you. ALWAYS KEEP CALLING TILL THEY HAVE TOLD YOU NO! AND IF YOU LIKE THE JOB, FOLLOW UP A COUPLE OF WEEKS LATER TO SEE IF IT WORKED OUT...

Controlled persistence has a way of paying off in the long run. Keep at it until they tell you the job is no longer available or the position has been filled.

You should apply to other positions in the meantime because it seems like this company is giving you the run around.
