Renita's Story
Living through the flood waters is when your life flashes before your eyes, and you become thankful for all you have. You work hard to get ahead and than a natural disaster comes and everything you own is under water, even your car-you fear for your children lives an not even your own. The food runs low and now! You're out in the danger zone looking for food, when flood waters are everywhere. You finally find the Only HEB open!!! with nothing hardly left and you're hoping your credit card still works in this desperate time and when you finally get inside the store, there's no bread, sugar, or milk and there's a couple of packs of meat, all the syrup is gone and you're just standing there looking at the last syrup for $11 and all you can think is "Is this really happening" My God bless us all through this horrible devastation.

Hi Renetia, Our prayers go out to you, your family, and all the other Houston residents affected by the hurricane Harvey last week. Your courage, determination, and faith is inspiring. We’ve set up a community support page at Help Houston Neighborhood filled with first response and local emergency resources information for our Houston members and beyond.
Please feel free to use this page as a one stop resource center for Houston support services and national collaboration efforts. You can also reach out to me directly if you have any questions or concerns about employment opportunities or re-starting your career search. Hope this message find you well.
