What does it take to get hired at The Home Depot?

1st Home Depot still practices DEI policies. So if you check all the right boxes this should be no problem as long as you don’t have a recent criminal record and can pass a drug test.

I don’t know what it takes to get hired there. I went for two interviews with them and got nothing.

Bring a great attitude, and willingness to work hard and learn. Excellent customer service skills are essential no matter the position.

Now that individual stores no longer do the interviews or ever see your application it’s all about your application. They now use a computer program that picks up specific words and working so make sure to be very specific when it ask what your last jobs duties were, and I do mean detailed break down your job to every little task and job duty so that the program finds the words it’s looking for. Besides that apply for every open position at the location you are trying for even if you aren’t qualified the more the program sees your application the better your odds are. They might interview you for one position but find you fit in a different position and no matter the position they offer take it, it’s easy to transfer to a different department or position after your probationary period is over. I hope that helps and good luck.
