What experience do I need to be hired as a Stocker?

- Either already know where your product is or make sure you are matching barcodes.
- Rotate the product while checking dates to make sure that the product is not out of date.
- It is always a good thing to be able to work with others or by yourself and at a fast enough pace to get it done quickly.
- If the product needs to be topstocked, that is putting extras that won't fit on the shelf up top, make sure you don't leave 3 or 4 items in a box. Take them out and make them neat on top. CONDENSE, CONDENSE, CONDENSE. KEY to stocking.
- I pray you get the job and enjoy it.

Ira, first: Rotate old stock to the front and new stock you are shelfing in the back. Then always check for outdated stock. Remove outdated stock. Always check for damage of stock. Remove damage stock. Remove items that are not to be there. Buyers sometimes change there mind and will just put an item back on the shelf where ever. Watch detail of items.( very important). Store items sometimes look like name brand items. Detail is everything. Being alert is everything. You want customers to shop your store. Organization is everything. A nice clean, organized shelf keeps customers happy and your supervisors and managers happy.Hard work gets you raises and promotions. I hope this helps you....Ric

l live in los Angeles so l need jobs there

Nothing really, standing for long periods of time. Being able to organize. Usually all you do is get a flat bed of product, or cart , then you basically put the item on the shelf, where it belongs. Lots of stores have plan o grams and already have things mapped out.
