Time to organize...
Hello Atlanta professional job search group. I started this group as a way for people living or with a desire to work in Atlanta. The ATL is a great place to be however it is challenging to find a job/career without proper networking. People hire people they know or can develop a positive relationship with. My question for the group is how best can we organize to take advantage of the diverse experience within the group to build these relationships and connect with potential employers. Don't be bashful, comment so we can not only share online but create tangible relationships in Atlanta leading to productive careers for ourselves and families. Remember everyone knows someone who can benefit themselves or others within their circle.

I agree that it requires knowing someone to make first steps so how do we get ourselves out there

Hi My name is Edith and I totally agree with your views about Atlanta and the job market.I have many friends who have been trying to land a job in Atlanta for about 5 years now but could not. I will write more later tonight. Thanks for starting this net work forum

Hi Don,
I totally agree with your comment! The ATL is a great place to live, however, it is very challenging landing a job/career. I'm in favor of building relationships that will lead to professional relationships that will eventually lead to potential employers who are hiring and seeking diverse experienced job seekers.
Hello, Donald. Has any thought about maybe dividing ourselves into subgroups so that we can gain information and insight from others within those Categories and make New Contacts? As an example, I want to move to Atlanta. I'm considered a Process Improvement Engineer or Six Sigma Consultant. I have multiple Credentials within the field that allow me to teach and lead others in this endeavor, but wouldn't know anybody in the Atlanta area to point in the direction of a job. We'd get to know everyone on the Group and what our Skillsets are. Just an idea...
