What is the average time it takes to get a job After you've been laid off?

I'm just asking, because usually when a company goes through a layoff. (they allow unemployment benefits until restart, i.e., a shutdown for maintenance.) If that's not the case, consider yourself as "fired" and find another job. I know that sounds harsh, but it's true. Don't become a permanent victim of "I don't have a job" because, if anyone really wants one, they would have one, flipping burgers is a job, gas station employees have jobs, if need be, anyone can swallow their pride and have a job. (I'm not directing anger or frustration towards you, I'm frustrated as well, however I do have enough pride to work the desk or a local fast food joint if need be)

Did you get laid off or fired?
Depending on your field and the impact your field has on the market (for example: I’m in excavation and before any building is performed on site we prepare the building pads - HIGH DEMANDED SERVICE) you could make it back to work within any where from an hour to a couple of days.
