HAPPY New Year 2017 everyone! Let's hope it's a great year for all of us. I like to keep job boards and Linked In separate from the news sites but have to ask and almost NEED to know if this is just my perspective as a Cali girl native I.B., thank you. Does anyone believe that that thing on Donald Trump's head which (SHUDDER) will take the oath of office come noon on 20 Jan 2017 will do a good job or will he crash the economy? I was very skeptical to let business people out of the box to run for public office because public off- ice(sic) IS a profession like it or not that's why you start at the bottom and run for a seat on your local city council then over the years work your way up the ladder of elective office until as a senator or governor you decide to run for President. Now however that that thing on his head can be elected to the most powerful office in the world with NO past experience in elected office and a civilian to boot I'm going to redo my resume so that the little things I used to do on the side are now nonprofits and I am the CEO and going to apply for jobs at a much higher level because to repeat if that thing on his head can take his new job - I'm going to be sick - then I can do it MY way. (IF as I suspect all his ideas totally tank the economy it will just prove my long held opinion that this is why we should not let business majors into politics and definitely not let them hold public office.) Sorry if this rambles but even after a lot of thought I still had a very hard time to write this and respect the office just not the soon to be office holder. Let me hear from you with honest opinions good and bad. Happy New Year 2017 everybody! Love you all Katie. P.S. The civilian aspect of his resume would not have been such a big deal except that he was the one who said that he was smarter than the generals and according to the Washington Post and the LA Times doesn't take his security briefings basically well ever because he's just SO (i) (b) much smarter than the rest of us and "I'm, like, a really smart guy". Its going to crash. Housing market is going to crash as well. Jobs aren't coming back the labor is cheaper elsewhere. Most are using robots and his pick for labor secretary is all for cutting overtime pay, breaks, family leave, etc. Everything that the president elect is saying is nothing more to keep people on edge and waiting to see what is going to happen. What has happened instead of cleaning the swamp he's filled it with more alligators who have no experience, the wealthiest people who have screwed others like the working and middle class people into paying their tax bills while they receive tax returns. Its going to be nothing but trouble.
