Fired for abiding doctors orders

I a former employee at US Engine Valve in Westminster SC i was there for 19 years. during those 19 years I did my job any everybody else job. I was consistently move all over the plant to get production off other lines as well as my own. In 2014 I injured my left shoulder performing my job duties went out on leave to have surgery on 2/3/2015 was told by my doctor that I needed seven months to heal was told by HR that if I was back in six months I would no longer have a job so I got my doctor to let me come back before time and as the result I injured my left shoulder and again and injured my right shoulder as well had to go back out to have the surgery again on both shoulder. So my doctor will not let me go back to my original job. So for the last two years I was working in the quality department do a job that was within my doctor limitation and was doing great, but the Production floor Lead manager wanted me back on the production floor during my old job and my doctor refused to change my work restriction he got the HR Manager to fire me over something that happens month ago with my supervisor (a disagreement) that he himself had forgot about it. Everybody tell me I need to get a lawyer because I have a good case. What is your option.

Hi Teresa. I'm so sorry to hear about your medical issues. I would definitely recommend speaking to an employment attorney, someone who specializes in labor laws, who can help you navigate the complexities of this situation. I also truly hope Jobcase can help you find a job that makes allowances for your medical needs and doesn't push you past your physical limits.
