Desk job at 20?

I've been a hostess for awhile now and in high school was even doing other food service jobs. I really like my job and work with some amazing people, but i have an illness that causes me a lot of pain, which makes being on my feet for so long really tough. I've applied to receptionist jobs in the past with no luck. I only have food service and a little retail experience. What other jobs are out there that don't require standing with great customer service skills for this 20 year old? And what is the best way to get hired at these jobs?

I have feet issue myself so I can totally relate to the amount of pain and discomfort. Have you tried changing your shoes to see if that helps with the pain? I don't know your situation but I was having some major back pain while I worked and bought some different shoes that made a big impact. Dansko and Crocs have both been really good for me!

I agree about the temp agency. Data entry and customer service rep jobs will probably be good for you.

You should totally check out a temp agency near you. They will be able to help you find some jobs with your experience that also fits your needs.
