Resident Aide at University Of Alabama

Employment

I have a Master's Degree in Human Services. Every job I have applied to in the last couple of months, have not called me for any interviews. I am becoming overwhelmed. I am currently working two jobs as a para educator and resident aide for alzheimer's dementia and struggling to make ends meet with all my Bills and rent. I am sick with fibromyalgia and lupus. Someone please help lead me in the right direction for a better paying salary, so I can rest, due to my health. I decided to go back to graduate school for another Master's in Professional Counseling.

Hi Modesta Smiley I'm so sorry to hear about your circumstances! That must be really hard.

If you are back in school, odds are they have a career center. They should be able to help you with everything from reformatting and editing your resume to finding good networking events to putting you in touch with other alum at good companies that would be a good fit for you. It depends on the center, but most are pretty good. I would start there.

Additionally, you can also look for jobs here on Jobcase. Just follow these steps:

1. Click on Jobs & Companies at the top of the page, or head over [here] (http://www.jobcase.com/jobs/search)

2. Enter a job into the search field where it says Job Title, Keywords, or Company.

3. Add in your location by filling in your City and State OR zip code. Then click the magnifying glass to search.

4. Once the list is up, click on “View Job" of any you are interested in and then apply.

Wishing you the best of luck with your job search!
