Hi Ginger.

I just responded to another person that you could get your CDL from a school bus contractor or your county government. They would train you and you would be able to get your license and if you are a county employee, you would have the benefits, sick and vacation pay too I am not sure in your area of any bus contractors there. Try looking into that. The other person I responded to, I let him know my mom drove a school bus for 38 years for the county in MD. She retired with over a year of sick time, lots of vacation days, retirement and benefits. My mom had to retire at I believe 71 because of diabetes and the doc wouldn't pass her on the physical. She is now 86. She would have still been driving. RS in MD.

Call your local unemployment office (whatever it's called there). They get government grants you might be eligible for. I got my cdl that way in march. No commitments or cost at all...
