I just want to say

My son manages a Subway out on route seven. He is 23, but has big dreams of opening up his own restaurant one day. I told him this is a good stepping stone for him. Working there has taught him a lot so far about running an establishment and being accountable. I don't understand why some young people don't get the value of a hard day's work. I didn't raise my son that way or to complain. I raised him to work hard, succeed, and not let anything get in his way. I am grateful he has a job where he can continue to grow. He won't be there forever, but for now, he is happy and saving money.

That's awesome. Congrats to him and I hope he goes far in life. I'm glad some people still know the value of a hard day's work.

The first thing you did right was to "raise" your son! So many young men and women, are missing that one link, a parent to "teach" them valuable lessons. Great job sir!

it also sounds like that he has been blessed by having at least 1 terrific boss. i don't mind working hard and showing up on time but i hate having a boss that has a bad temper and is drunk while at work.

I think SubWay is a great beginning. Good food, healthy, good reputation, etc. Your son could go a long way with this company. Maybe even own one since they are a chain . Sounds like a good goal to me!

I love it. We need more fathers..... parents like you. I don't get it either. My kids saw me work 3 jobs, put them through college, and now both are hard working with their own families. What's happening to our kids today
