Is my employer cheating me?
I feel like I am being cheated by my employer. Three months ago the head of my department decided to switch everyone in the department from hourly to salary because we are doing too much overtime. I reconcile accounts and everyday I have to complete the reconciliation, run and send out the reports before living. I spend 9 to 10 hours every day but only get paid for 8 hrs. Does anyone knows if this is illegal in Georgia?

Depends on how much you make. Pretty sure there was a new overtime law that just went into effect that if your salary is below a certain amount - I think somewhere around $45,000 - then you need to be paid overtime. But if you make more than the amount it says, then they don't have to pay you overtime. But if that's the case, I would just make sure you make up for the extra time somehow. Take a day off or leave a little early on the days you can.
