Who your boss is matters!

When I was a kid I worked for pizza hut and I remember this one manager Brian. He was a cool guy, always was crackin jokes with us. He did so many great things for our store too. He led by example because no one could keep up with his CRAZY work ethic. He worked his ass off ALL the time!!! He actually made ME want to work harder and be a better employee, even while I was working at minimum wage. Your boss makes a huge difference and the environment you work in so don’t think it doesn’t.

So kool, so true. I've had the pleasure of working with such leadership, and truly motivating and quite an example to follow. Thanks for your post and for sharing!

You got it right. If managers don’t care, it is felt down the chain.

John, This statement could not be more true. A good boss can make or break the job. I've had a few good bosses, but unfortunately more bad ones. I also find that a good boss & good co workers really make things rewarding and keep you looking forward to going in each day.

You are so right. My last job most of the management was downright nast lazy and incompetent. That was the man reason I left.

agreed, last job i was at, the boss was grumpy, made fun of you, no one wanted to work with him. we were glad when he went to other offices, vacation. and forget it if he had a bad day. i think he was the school bully. just made you feel like~~~~~ from now on i check out the boss and how he does things. they should have a course for new managers called how to correctly talk and treat your employees. your right, i am a lot more productive and sleep better when the boss treats you with respect, says good job, have a nice evening.
