Okay I recently got a job at Texas steakhouse and I have worked a few days. Well now they are talking about coming in once again Wednesday just to talk again what should I think. I have work hard on the days that I have worked. When I have no work to do I find work. What do you think is happening????

At least you have a job most people can not fond a job or tty to find work where did you say this job was at

Just hear what they have to say then comment if nesisary

Amber: Hi. You did your best, that's what's important. You can look yourself in the mirror every morning and feel good about yourself. So why attach worry to it all?. Never curse yourself, its self defeating. You'll be fine. Stay confident.

Don't read anything into their desire to talk!!!! Rule number 1, actively listen to what it is they wanted to talk about. Once you acertain the purpose of the "talk" respond in a respectful manner.

From what you are saying they may want to talk to you about increased responsibilities. When you you do what needs to be done without being told is a very valuable trait. A good employer will recognize this. The talk may to discuss redefining your role to give you additional responsibilities and pay.

They probably want to spell out your responsibilities and go over the instrument they will be using to evaluate you. Don't worry! It's to your advantage!

Why are you assuming this is bad news? It might not be. Or it might be that they want to adjust how you do some things to better match how they want them done. Who knows? Before you walk into that meeting being defensive, let the process play out & see what happens.

No sense in worrying. Although I'm sure it's very difficult. You have no control over whatever it is. Keep looking for a backup just in case. Maybe they want you as a shift leader? Maybe FT? Who knows.

Hang in there
Hello Amber, Congratulations on the good news from your employer. Never think the worst because you are asked to meet with the decision makers and you are not sure what the topic of discussion is. You can really mentally torture yourself in the process and in almost every case, it is not bad news that you will receive. You appear to be a valued employee because of your work ethics and I commend you on finding something to do when there is idle time on your hands. Employers notice these types of traits from employees and also want all employees to do the same thing as you do because as long as you are on company time, there is always something to do. You were noticed because you differentiate yourself from other employees by being as productive as you are. The quickest way to differentiate yourself is by doing what other employees are not willing to do. You are headed in one direction, up the ladder, just continue to be productive and in time, it will pay off. Don't lose your focus and keep up the good work Amber.
