Hello. I am trying to find writing jobs but because of my current employment, the only thing hiring managers seem to care about is my current experience as a sales buyer. I have created a website dedicated to my online portfolio with numerous samples based of my writing. I have a linkedin account emphasizing I want to be a writer and multiple sites giving me job offers for writing. I also have a degree in English focused in creative writing. However, when I apply, all I get are companies asking for my customer service or sales experience. I wanted to leave my current job as a buyer two months ago, but now I feel like I'm stuck because the only thing employers look at is my experience in my current job. What else can I do to get employers to notice my credentials in the writing field?
