Part-time job interview

Evening. I had an offer to interview for a community outreach position that is 1-5p M-F. The job is 16 miles 1 way from my home. I declined the interview because I have some health issues I need to get better with first. I did say I appreciated the chance to interview. and how i want to be on my top health wise before interviewing. I do not like telling people i have PTSD being a veteran. So i was cordial and thankful for the email reply. It's the fastest response i have had so far. I am also weighing the drive time and at $10 p/hour I am not sure if the position equals out to benefit me. The pay is based only on grant funding, so I am confused.. Any ideas or suggestions?

Hi Jacqueline: Thanks for posting to Jobcase! It sounds like there are a few detriments to this job that are holding you back. If you want to wait to be healthy before applying for work, I'd focus on that first. That way, when you finally get back into things, you'll be ready to bring your A-game for whichever employer is lucky to have you.
