I am wondering, I am 48 yrs old. I have an AA degree in business management, a BA in Business Administration and an MBA in Project Management. I have owned my own business for 23 years and I am looking to start a new career in another area. I have been applying for anything I can qualify for, if I do not meet at least three requirements, I am applying for anything, but I have not had any luck at least getting an interview for the last two years. Can anyone give me any ideas or ways to suceed without having to pay a headhunter?

Hi Tim, My best suggestion would be to make sure you are following up with the employers after you have submitted your applications. It is usually best to give it a couple of days, but then just call and ask to speak with the hiring manager, hr, etc. They will then pull out your application, which puts you at the top of the pile, and they also learn that you are very interested in the job and dedicated to your work.
