I was mislead apparently!
I completed my application about a week ago and I've been calling everyday since.I have spoken to several people including 2 store managers about the position. Chris Youngblood is the hiring manager I keep calling to speak to. Well today I was informed he would be there, maybe he was, maybe he wasn't lol but I received an email around 120 pm that there was no position utilizing my abilities. And I just received an email at 607 pm offering me THE SAME POSITION! SOOOO...ARE THERE AVAILABLE POSITIONS? OR AM I CALLING AND WASTING MY TIME? BECAUSE I WISH I HAD TIME TO WASTE BUT IM LOOKING FOR EMPLOYMENT. Thank you!
I understand the frustration of this. However I would not be so quick to just have everyone tell you to give up restaurants. I was in the food service industry for 40 years. Made enough so I still own 4 properties, paid off at least 5 cars, and supported myself. Of course, like every good employee, I showed up for work and SAVED mt pay and tips UNTIL I got home. Then a portion was allotted for spending and the rest went into the dresser drawer to either pay bills or spend at the stores when needed (like the grocery store buying food). Funny, but when you do that and pay your bills with it instead of stopping by the local bar and blowing all you money on booze, you manage to survive much better. Good luck with them!

Did the e-mail come from Pizza Hut's corporate headquarters, or from a manager at the location where you wish to work? There may be a delay between local hiring and centralized, corporate HR department.... Or someone, at either end of the chain, doesn't have their ish together.... Not a great way to start with a new employer and manager. Did they offer you a position, invite you for an interview, or what, exactly?
Hi You are wasting your time it happened to my daughter she was hired for Carl's Jr. And the manager said I will call you and she went in everyday since December 9th and she still hasn't met the store manager for scheduled, training or uniforms. Keep looking and applying at other places...so when they do call you can tell them I have a job...lol
I believe your calling and wasting your time now I think fast food restaurant's wants to hire people that in high school and they might hire people in college. Apply for something else like grocery stores or warehouse. Also, if you have a resume, that would do something for your as well. Moreover, I don't think you want to work minimum wage. You would want to apply for something where you can get $2, $3 towards minimum wage and then start focusing on your career job, that's if you don't have one now. However, keep searching! Good luck!!
maybe its another location,but if you went in there to talk to this chris y. and he is never there then and he wont talk to you in person then maybe he has something against you ,you probaly better off anywhere but there,dominoes pizza is better...
No they are being unprofessional and just think what it will be like working for them that might be the reason for them pooling applications and not rearly hiring anyone.
Don't waste your time, apply to a real job with benefits so v that you can grow
While communication is key! SO MANY people get their messages wrong. My son interviewed for a job at Foot Locker, interview went well, never got a return call from his follow up. Received an exit interview in the mail! LOL...how do you complete an exit interview for which you were never hired or even offered the job? GET in their face and refuse to leave until you meet manager. He/she should appreciate your tenacity and can learn from your incident how they need to train the staff for better communication.
