IRS SCAM!!!

IMPORTANT!! IRS SCAM!!

Please share this with all your friends and family. I was contacted yesterday BY TELEPHONE by a person claiming to be from the IRS. Claiming that I owe $1,500 in back taxes. They even threatened prosecution by law enforcement if I didn't pay immediately. I knew right away this was BS because the IRS will NEVER contact ANYONE by telephone. They will ALWAYS attempt to contact by mail first. But I stayed on the line with this person to get all the information that I could about them. Then I made a fraud report to the IRS today.

I will share that info with y'all.

NAME: Officer Alex Spencer (probably an alias) Accent: middle eastern Phone that I was given: 818-309-1017 (comes up in California)

Hi Dan, this actually has happened to me before and I also reported them. Remember that if you truly owed money, the IRS would contact you initially by mail. Make sure to stay scam free and aware! Here is some more [information] (https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/how-to-know-its-really-the-irs-calling-or-knocking-on-your-door-0).
