No hope

I am turning 17 in a month and a half. I am volunteering to pay for all of my senior expenses and school starts in a month. I have applied for 20+ places and went in for ONE interview and the hiring manager gave it to someone else. I was really disappointed because I nailed that interview. I just need help!

With the holidays approaching soon, there will be more opportunities. Keep searching. After you apply online for the jobs, call the employers and ask for interviews. Don't wait for them to call you. While you are not working, try mowing lawns and shoveling snow. You can make some decent money doing this. When I was between the ages of twelve and sixteen, I mowed and shoveled regularly and earned $12,000 doing it. At sixteen, I got a real job as a supermarket cashier. At seventeen, I joined the army. Another thing you can do while you are not working, is CLEP exams. You can study on your own. Either buy the CLEP books from any bookstore, or do online programs through the dome clep website. Then register to take the exams at your community college or other test site. You can earn up to 15 college credits while you are still in high school. This can save you a lot of money on your college education. I did this, an graduated with my associates and bachelors degree in the same year, saving me thousands of dollars on my education. I actually studied for my clep exams from books while I was camping out in the field environment with the army. There are a variety of courses you can choose from to test out of. Just research it. It'll put you way ahead of your peers.

You need to go into these stores (prioritize which ones) and follow up. Make them remember you. Walking into the store and introduce yourself and ask for a manager that hires and remind them you already applied and you were following up that will show them you want a job. Don't be afraid to put a little more effort into getting job. Applying is not enough. Good luck

Its not about the interview and what you nailed, Sometimes its about the experience, so keep you head up, listen your young and beautiful lady why have you not thought of going into the Air Force, yes you get $40,000 for school, 30 days paid vacation? and you can see the world? I think you has kids cut your life short when we stay in one place waiting for something to happen, make it happen call them up the test is easy, its on a 5th grade level, i know you can do it!!!There,s is hope i believe you can do whatever you set your mind to do with the help of the lord. peace always

Caregiver at Never Alone

I worked at 15 at a seniors home. If you can take the heartache of losing them. There's lots of jobs no one thinks of that there is need for. Babysitting housecleaning I did all that at your age. You would be surprised how many people could use your help. My neighbors actually came to me first.

Kaitlyn, there is always hope if you want to fight for it. If you look for it and refuse to quit . Where there is life, there is hope. Patience is the best motivation. Determination and persistence. Talk to some older and experienced professional people and seek advice and take it gratefully. Be tenacious in your search for the job you want. But be realistic about your expectation
