Being Unemployed I can't find the christmas spirit. I am so depressed this year.
I have just fallen into a depression over being in this predicament. My Heart mind thinks back to times I was cooking for buying something for the office Christmas/Holiday Parties, this year, no parties, no invites, and no gifts no money to buy gifts, no shopping, no dinners, or invites, no Christmas for me this year. No lights on the tree, not decorations, no nothing be glad when Christmas is over. This how being unemployed does to a person time of year, bring the pain and depression. People all around you are enjoying Christmas, and you have emptiness. It is supposed to be to celebrate the birth of Christ. However, it is so commercialized that it make you forget its purpose and a time for giving gifts and spending time with family. I feel sad to enjoy family; they have jobs, and I don't.
Ive been unemployed for abt 2 1/2 yrs plus im a widow for the last three yrs so i know all abt how u feel so the Holidays are a very hard time for me also God Bless you and i Pray things will get better for you.......
I guess you can say I am feeling sorry for myself. However, I am used to working steadily for over 20 years now I am unemployed. This madness wonder I haven't lost my mind. I have been seeking a job for over a year now put in thousands of applications. Get calls, interviews, but they don't move forward. So tired of rejection. I know I have skills, good worker, hard worker depenable. Make me feel washed up; I am so broken right now can't understand why I can't land a job. Not trying to make the kind of money that I made, but I just don't know what to do anymore. Please if you are a manager or placement working reading out here, please review my resume and let me know what I need to change.
I'm really sorry to hear that sister. On the news they promote all this "job growth" and all these job websites send out job listings. Yet many many people are not getting hired. It's ridiculous
