I don't understand???
My resume is filled with over 15 years of experience in manufacturing, but no one wants to hire me. How is it possible that my years of experience is now frowned upon.

No one wants to hire me because I guess im not pretty enough I dont know. I have experience with Popeye's, doing waiters, and all

It seems as if experience is not important anymore. Even the POTUS can get a job without experience. Experience doesn't seem to count anymore. It's unfortunate but true. people seem to think that it doesn't matter. I really believe that companies should be looking for people with experience. Unfortunately they don't want to pay for that. Continue to keep God first and something wonderful will come your way. Keep your chin up.

Ryan I know your frustration I have 30 years experience in customer service as a cashier to but the sad thing is I've had a few interviews but I've put in about 90 applications in a year and nothing. I don't get it either but hang in there something will come your way.

Ryan, that's how I feel!! I have over 15 years experience in Human Resources and I can't get hired either!! I don't know what's going on!!!

Ryan; Just keep on applying for a Manufacturing Jobs, and I am confident u will get something. Gayle Myers

Like you, I have 15+ year's experience in my field. I found a lot of companies want the experience but don't want to pay for the experience. Therefore they don't want to hire you because they feel you're going to keep looking on the side and will leave when you find something that will pay you what your experience is worth. So they don't want to pay for training you when they think you're going to leave. It took me 5 months before I received the first interview with a company that eventually did hire me. I underwent a 45 interview on the phone with HR in New York, then an hour and 10 interview at the actual job site, followed by a 40-minute Skype interview with a branch in LA. Then they verified all my references. And then they finally offered me the position at a pay rate equivalent to my experience. In total it took almost 6 months! Don't give up just keep on going there is a job out there. Don't lose faith!

GO BACK TOO SCHOOL AND DO SOMETHING ELSE factories ......(manufacturing jobs) want hire immigrates or unskilled uneducated people for low wages to maximize profits also if you are over 40years old and out looking for a new job it doesnot look good employers will wonder why you looking for work at this AGE!!! iam 39 and retired because i was proactive and invested wisely!!! DO NOT LOOK FOR WORK AT THIS AGE school your self to be self employed and be savy IT IS DOG EAT DOG out here so take what you want DONOT WORRY ABOUT screwing someone else over to get aheadt hey will do it to you in a second!!

Yeah it's simple. See corporate America is no longer in business to accommodate the workers. What they do is look for some young kid with 2 years experience that will take less pay and will overwork the shit out of him. If you really want a job. Fake it til you make it. Play dumb, get your foot in the door then work your way up walking all over the supervisorson your way to the top. Hey it's either food on your plate or theirs, fuck their couch.

It may be because you are dating yourself. By "dating" I mean you may want to take some of the oldest stuff off your resume. I cleaned mine up to reflect the last 10 years. After I did, I got call backs, and finally a job.
Look online to website like www.indeed.com or www.jobcase.com by going into the top search and put manufacturing jobs to see how many companies that can come up. Then post your resume to send to employers. Finally, see if any of the employers will respond to you.
