INTERVIEWS: (Why should we hire you?) Tell Your Story! (This is how it's done!

HIGHLY IMPORTANT!! TAKE TIME AND READ THIS PLEASE.

BOARD MEMBERS: President/CEO Sr. Vice-President Operations Director, HR Department Director, Sales & Marketing Personnel Security Officer Project Manager Program Manager

CEO, "Cynthia, you have a very impressive resume and certainly I, along with the board members would like to know...Why should we hire you?"

CYNTHIA, "Sir and distinguish board members let me begin by saying this..........xyz...................." Thank you very much!

CEO, "Cynthia, on behalf of the votes collected from the board members we have decided...xyz"

Folks, tell your story being 1) Clear 2) Concise 3) Convincing and 4) Compelling. Then, allow everything else to fall-in-place! (More details will follow later.) . ***Follow-Lead-Share-Succeed.

I think this is most stupid question a hiring manager or human resource can ask . Reason that they are posting open position and candidates represent their talents ,ability and experiences to fill the gap . If a person by itself walk in and ask for hiring ,then question is logic and they are right to ask why we should hire you.!!!!!

The challenge is figuring out what will sound compelling to your interviewers....One short cut I use is to reinforce one or two key results or accomplishments that I previously mentioned as a way to make my closing coherent. So the last thing they hear is a strength that I try to link to their pressing needs ("So as we discussed earlier, ...…" or "So in closing, I just want to underscore my approach to addressing your need for XYZ. I have frequently dealt with XYZ's and feel very confident that I can....or....."I was curious if I answered all of your questions and concerns abut XYZism?? In the past, when I worked on XYZs...."
