Cynthia Clark REGISTERED NURSE 67 YEARS OLD Milwaukee, WI 53211
What is one thing about your work that most people don't know ?
I am a telehealth registered nurse. I monitor patients vital signs remotely and counsel them about their health issues by telephone. I work as a liaison with their homecare RN and their physician. Before taking this position I made home visits to patients for 35 years. I have worked in home care for a total of 45 years and I'm not ready to give it up yet!!
What makes you most proud of the work you do?
I am able to impact people daily to help them learn how to manage their own health care.
Cynthia, I love your story and your smile! No doubt you have a servant's heart!♥️ I am a RN of 29 yrs + LPN of 3 yrs prior which was a valuable learning experience and such an excellent clinical practice time. (That's why I don't discount it)😊 I've seen remote telehealth positions posted and have been quite interested. What has kept me at bay is that it's been well over 15 yrs since I've read/interpreted telemetry. I've had the assumption I could have a screen FULL of sick patients on telemetry and did not want to take on such a liability, even with a refresher course in EKG interpretation. So do you do that? Do most of the telehealth positions require that? TIA for your time and your many years of service to those in need. You truly ARE a healthcare hero!♥️ Donna Cox
