Why is it that dispatchers with no Truck Driving Experience whatsoever think they know more then the person behind the wheel

Most companies, the dispatcher is paid off.of the trucks on there board, more trucks, more loads ,more on time delivery, more bonuses, there trained to push to the limit cuz in the end if anything happened with the load or the truck ,it's on you ....not them and they will throw u under the bus. My one great trainer i had told it to me straight , reguardless, they deal with 30- 60 trucks a day ,your just a truck number ,they don't even know your name ,your replacement is sitting in orientation right now and can do it cheaper ,. You just need to find a company and or a dispatcher who has been in a truck and knows what your going through and will help you .

I had a black ice experience and jacknifed the truck and trailer with major damage to the right side of the truck and major damage to the radiator.black ice can happen to anyone ,you survived now learn that driving at night or day at temperatures below freezing you must slow down or get off the road in any bad weather conditions.listen you are alright take courage again and learn from your experience.get back in their and overcome your fear, and put it behind you.thats which does not kill us should only make us wiser and stronger.you can overcome this simply put it behind you and leave it their.now move forward into the next day.one day at a time.always pray to be safe behind the wheel daily.

I worked both sides. My husband and I owned our truck and I was a dispatcher for over 30 yrs. I trusted my drivers to speak the truth and they trusted me to take care of them.

Hi Adam Bird ! I am not sure, but sometimes in jobs, you have that one person who truly believes they know it all when in fact they don't. Just understand that it may not be a personal attack on you it's just how they are. You could always consider reaching out and speaking to that person in a calm and kind manner. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar after all! Keep going, you're doing great : )
