Do you plan on working on the Holidays?
As the holidays are approaching, I know a lot of us are focusing on our work schedule, making sure we have requested off, or have picked up extra hours to be able to make time and half on the holidays. I actually am scheduled to work on every holiday coming up being that I work in the hotel industry, I used to get upset about working on holidays when I was younger, but now I've accepted that it comes along with the industry. I try to make the best of the situation. What about you guys, what does your schedule look like for the holidays? #holidays #workschedule #sacrifices
I have put over 50 apps in and lots of them to hotels I have had one interview and a few coming up I am looking to work whenever they will let me.I will be homeless week to week if i dont pay my room.and Michigan is very cold and already have snow on the ground.I don't own a tent so i pray somone hires me Asap.
When I worked at Arbys we had a good team. Everyone came in,worked together. I only had to quit because they did not offer any benefits that I needed.
The restaurant I have been working at will be closed on holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) which is good. I used to work on holidays.
Wanted to take some time off...but just got my property tax bill...so I guess I am not :)
I can't wait to read all the threads about this during the Holidays this year! I used to work almost every single Holiday, as I worked at Restaurants and in Venues that were open 365 days a year. But now, I'm pretty sure I could make some time to celebrate this year, I'm just not sure how much I will, since I'm used to working during those times and haven't been in a hurry to make a bunch of plans. 🎄

At the age I am now, 62, I still don't feel smarter than you, My Lord, Jesus Christ. I am much more appreciative of the things that were neglected in my youth, while I reveled and rejoiced in it. Yes I feel my mortality now more than ever before and I am greatly humbled by it. I will never complain about getting old because I understand that some people are denied that privilege. May God Bless All and Please Just Be Kind, at least for a little while during the holiday seasons...
I will work on the holidays
I am taking the holidays off,but some of my favorite times were working during them.The animals never stop with their wants and needs but the zoo was quite peaceful. I found myself alone and being able to do anything that was needed. Someone snuck in and played Christmas music over the intercom for me,so I knew I wasn't by myself. It was a charming thing to do and I will remember it forever! Christmastime is longer than 24 hours. I slept in peace that night,Ford
