Between two worlds

51yr professional with 30 years in the business. Stuck between a rock and a hard place. I have the full business plan, ready to open my own restaurant but can't find the backing. At the same time I can't find employment due to my advanced status, either I'm over-qualified or they can't seem to separate me from ambitions.

Dear Corey,

You are not stuck between anything, just hold onto your Faith, and accept that everything is as it should be, and all that belongs to you is in route.

Just believe to receive: "Mankind states: "Show Me and I Will Believe, FAITH dictates "Believe and I Will Show You".Just the opposite.

Affirm what you have asked for "Thank you Father, I thank you O'Father Lord of the Heaven and the Earth; Lord I thank Thee that Thy Has Heard Me".....and know it is DONE!

Welcome to my world. Even after being a regional manager for a restaurant chain I am now relegated to a host job. Wanted to start a food truck but can’t find backing.

Does the idea have originality? Does it have contemporary appeal? What demographic will it hit? Who will be your competition during the first year? ~ And lastly, in a fixed market (city X), who will you be stealing revenue from? ... This last question could be critical if a community is already saturated with a specific type of restaurant or one entity owns 4, 5, or 8 other restaurants you would be competing with for business. ~ Every business needs a percentage of new customers walking in the door each month, and a specific percentage of repeat customers. Does your plan project these numbers? ... Just wondering.

Hi Corey. Please consider contacting the Small Business Administration to see if they will sit down with you and review your plan. I believe you have potential. Keep the faith. Blessings.

Do a kick Starter online indicating that you are battling cancer and your family will be out on the street if you can't pay your medical bills. After you raise $100,000. Put the money into the restaurant and name the place "Remissions"

The Culinary industry is highly competitive Corey Richardson . Securing outside financial backing is more about industry reputation, recognition and local celebrity than a solid business plan. Everyone is looking for the next Top Chef de Cuisine!

Hey Corey Richardson - hang in there. I know it must be stressful right now, but you will get through it. I would say to work on one or the other, if at all possible. What avenues have you taken to try to get backing for the restaurant?

What kind of restaurant do you want to open?
